130th Anniversary of 1893 Corowa Conference

Welcome to a weekend of celebrations proudly hosted by the Corowa District Historical Society to mark the important event in the Australian Federation story.

This includes a Pioneer Cemetery Walk to visit the graves of four Delegates to the Conference, facilitated by Lindy Piggin and Lesley New.

Following on, there is A Conversation with Professor Frank Bongiorno, Dr. Jeff Brownrigg and Dr. James Warden on ‘How important were the 1993 Centenary Celebrations of the Corowa Federation Conference?’

Events continue into the evening, after dinner at the Corowa RSL Club, with a Q & A Panel Discussion on the topic ‘What has Federation Done for Us’.

Guest Speakers include Professor Frank Bongiorno, Dr. Jeff Brownrigg, Dr. Matt Harvey, Ms Jane Hayman, Doctor James Warden, and Mr. Martin Douglas Corowa High School History Teacher as moderator.

The evening ends with A Corowa Conversation, facilitated by Dr. Matt Harvey on ‘The Indigenous Voice to Parliament’.
