The group come together each week to communicate and share their skills in all areas of art. The other important aspect of the group is the help and support for each other through the hardships of their daily lives.

The group have a diverse interest in, and approach to use a range of medium. Shared skills enable each other to advance their ability in the use of acrylics, oils, pastel watercolour and mixed media. Subject matter is inspired by the individual exploration of the environment. The Forbes environs of waterways, flora and fauna are a valuable source of inspiration for these artists. Other artists in the group choose to depict scenes of their travels around Australia."

string(1359) "Planning has commenced in Goulburn to commemorate the centenary of the first official Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix which occurred on 23 June 1924. The celebration will be held exactly 100 years on.

The highlight of the celebration will be an escorted, re-enactment ride along the original 80-kilometre course. The original event, which was sanctioned as an official Grand Prix by the Auto Cycle Union of NSW, and organised by the Goulburn Motorcycle Club, took place over a 43 and a half mile testing course that ran from the outskirts of Goulburn, to Windellama, across to Bungonia, and back along Mountain Ash Road to the start finish line.

Amazingly, the original course exists almost entirely and can be ridden today. The Senior Grand Prix was won by Dave Brewster riding an Indian Chief, with T Benstead and R Preston coming in second and third respectively riding Harley Davidsons.

The centenary festivities promises to be a historic celebration of speed, heritage, and camaraderie which will pay homage to the pioneers of Australian motorcycle racing while creating memories for generations to come. Goulburn is the true birthplace of Grand Prix racing in Australia, hosting not only the first Motorcycle Grand Prix in 1924, but also the first Car Grand Prix in 1927, and, the first Australian Motorcycle TT (Tourist Trophy) in 1914."

string(1117) "This incredible group of musicians is dedicated to recreating the sound and energy of one of the most beloved bands of the 70s and 80s, and they're taking on Status Quo's legendary album 12 Gold Bars.

Featuring some of the most talented musicians and vocalists in the country including ex-Angels and Choirboys member James Morley, Pete Robinson from Russell Morris Band, along with Eddy Santacreu, and David Kirby from Queen Orchestrated, this group brings a level of professionalism and dedication to their craft that sets them apart from other cover bands. They've spent countless hours studying the intricate instrumental arrangements and harmonies that made Status Quo such a hit, and they're ready to deliver an unforgettable performance for fans old and new.

At their upcoming show, you can expect to hear every track from 12 Gold Bars, including hits like "Rockin' All Over The World," "Whatever You Want,” ”Down Down” and "Caroline." The band's attention to detail is unmatched, from the faithful reproductions of the original songs to the signature guitar riffs that made Status Quo a household name."

From Russia with Love, Skyfall, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, Diamonds Are Forever and Thunderball are just a few of the iconic songs that you’ll hear in this spy-themed extravagant theatrical affair. The show also includes other notorious spy anthems from Mission Impossible, Peter Gunn, Get Smart, The Pink Panther and the famous tango scene from True Lies starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Your musical matinee sweethearts Karla Hillam and Jonathan Guthrie-Jones will take you on a thrilling ride with an incredible blend of projections, fabulous singing, exciting dancing and gorgeous costumes. And if that’s not enough, a show about James Bond, the most famous spy of them all must include some of his witty one-liners because, of course, nobody does it better.

No matter which Bond is your favourite, experience the nostalgia and let the music take you to dangerous and exciting places, with a little mystery, a little intrigue and a lovely martini... shaken, not stirred."
