Bold, Bright, Botanical Block Printing with Kerrie Bowles

Explore the beautiful world of Botanical Art in printmaking. This workshop focuses on creating prints of flowers, leaves, ferns, seed heads and everything else botanical.

Students will be guided through designing a print using simple drawing techniques, carving blocks and design placement for various uses. Using the techniques of block printing students will create prints on paper suitable for art prints, cards, wrapping paper, tags, etc.

Single and multiple plates will be used to create interesting plays of design. The use of hand colouring after printing will also be explored.
