‘MindScapes’ exhibition by Graham Blondel
Graham Blondel’s abstract artworks have a diverse universal narrative derived from his domestic life, extensive travels, street art, his interest in all cultures- especially tribal- and a love of art history. There are elements of Pop art and graphic street art in his works.
His rewarding long career in creating and teaching art culminated as a Head Teacher at the National Art School, Sydney.
Many awards and residencies are highlights of his career. Exhibitions around Australia and in the USA, France and China have been augmented by numerous residencies in locations which include Arthur Boyd’s residence in Tuscany Italy, the AGNSW’s studio in Paris and the Redgate studios in Beijing.
Graham is a ‘Nowra boy’, having lived in the town until he went to art school in Sydney without having studied art at school.
